Community Tasting Notes 6

February 8, 2020 - My last bottle of this - and given how this is drinking tonight, it's quite possible that I've consumed all of them too soon ;^)

Boy, this is good - focused on the palate, good acidity and persistence, in a word, delicious.

I wish I had another case or two of this.

October 5, 2019 - This wine has consistently been one of my favorites of the various Barraud wines in this vintage. Crisp nose with saline notes and white fruit.

Light-bodied and refreshing on the palate - I've got Paul Bley & Gary Peacock playing a duet on the stereo, and this is a nice wine to just sit back on the couch with and absorb the music.

July 5, 2019 - I like to drink throughout Barraud's hierarchy in most vintages, as even the entry level wines like Macon Vergisson have something to offer. But if I had to pick one wine that is "most likely to outperform" it's status/pricing, this would be my choice.

I just had a glass of the '17 Sur la Roche, and to be honest, I prefer this wine - crisp, structured on the palate compared to the Sur La Roche, there just seems more to this wine. Very likable.

June 8, 2019 - Tart white fruit on the palate, with good supporting acidity. Sea breeze on the nose. Very likable, and from an overall QPR perspective, just might be my favorite Barraud from this vintage.

April 28, 2019 - Very good - this is in the same league qualitatively as the Sur la Roche in this vintage, and a good wine for the money.
