April 5, 2023 - Appearance: Deep garnet color with a slight orange rim.
Nose: Aromas of ripe red cherry, dried herbs, leather, and tar, with secondary aromas of licorice and tobacco.
Palate: Full-bodied with high tannins and medium+ acidity. Flavors of dark cherry, licorice, and tobacco. The wine has a long, persistent finish with a good balance of acidity and tannins.
Conclusion: The wine is drinking well now, but it has the potential to age for at least another 10-15 years. -

April 24, 2021 - Opened and poured with no time to decant. Surprisingly approachable given its youth, but another five years will do wonders for it!
