May 7, 2024 - From 375 ml. Better than last year’s bottle. Dark and red berries and good herbs and spices. Full bodied and in fact still youthful. Can be cellared at least another 3 years.
April 11, 2024 - Hmm. I have a few bottles of this, partly inspired by JLL's warm words. On opening I found this... A bit dull and a bit spiky at once (don't try to reconcile my language). Half of it was placed in a screwcapped half bottle, and the next day (tonight) it is more polished, inviting - so Mrs D was right, it's not too old, and is perhaps in an awkward phase and needs a little more time. I'll find out in due course....
January 13, 2024 - dark oaky and peppery, I get leather and a hint of liquorice
September 25, 2023 - This is flattening out and losing much of its fruit.
Some residual blackberries with figs, prunes, earth & forest floor.
Ok, but needs drinking up.
September 24, 2023 - From a half bottle. Light weight. Pleasant red berry fruits and garrigue. Good acidity. Tasty and pleasant. Ready now.
August 4, 2023 - Deep purple in colour. Aromas of dark fruit and oak. Tobacco and black pepper on the finish. Medium bodied & medium tannins/acids. Tasty. Great value.
May 17, 2023 - Another great bottle. It’s in a perfect place now but shoukd drink well until 2026+. Outstanding QPR.
March 18, 2023 - Nice bottle this. As others have said great QPR. I have not had other years but this is nice CdR. This was had slowly over 3 days and was better on the second and last day so decanting helped this a lot. It could go a few more years yet.
March 12, 2023 - cheers - still drinking "young".....doesn't seem like a 7 year old wine; very good CDR
February 19, 2023 - Medium plus aroma of red fruits - cranberry, red plum with baking spice and pepper. On the palate the fruit felt rather cooked. Med acid, med-tannin, hi alc, med+ body, med finish
Good to drink now
