March 9, 2024 - I just don’t get it but Bedrock seems to always disappoint. I decanted the bottle and poured it back and forth between the decanters before I put it back it the bottle, since some folks said it took some time to open. Recently I’ve had some Pax Syrah a this is no where close.

September 8, 2023 - From memory after a 90 double decant, outstanding & has just entered its prime drinking plateau, drink or hold, no rush

August 11, 2023 - Bedrock syrahs at Bazaar Meat (Chicago, IL): One of my favourites tonight -- this was distinctly red-fruited, with a red currant fruit profile. Mineral and lithe, but with plenty of weight on the palate. Still a little more fruit-forward than French iterations, but this really drinks along the lines of what I want in a bottle of syrah. Very elegant and balanced, all syrah should really be made like this.

June 27, 2023 - Still needs a few hours decant but after that blueberries and black olives galore. I'm going to hold off opening my last few bottles like they are top Northern Rhone wines.

May 27, 2023 - Beautiful nose of dark blues fruits. Blue fruit, nice smooth texture, medium body, a slight touch of spice on the medium-long finish. Drank over 5 hours, the wine as at least 5 years of prime drinking. WORD OF CAUTION as I did not read CT prior…… My bottle had multiple small clusters of fruit tartrates which made the experience a little less enjoyable. I will certainly filter the next bottle.
