October 29, 2019 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. This is an excellent blend of 60% Malvasia di Lipari grown on Lipari and 40% Carricante grown on Etna. The grapes are organic. The wine is a bright, medium yellow with a gold hue. The nose is clean, fresh, with mediterranean herbs, ripe lemon and grapefruit, barely ripe stone fruit, tropical fruit, wet stone and sea breeze. The Malvasia is vinified in stainless steel, whereas the Carricante sees a little bit of used oak. The palate is dry, but with very generous fruit and flavor intensity. The acidity is medium to medium (+) and the alcohol is medium (12.5%). This is a very well-balanced and complex wine, with intense flavors and really nice long, dry, salty, briny savory finish. This wine is really delicious and great with seafood and shellfish or by itself. Drink now or for the next several years.

September 14, 2019 - That tension I described in my previous note is very much still there and is what makes it such a thrilling wine. Stony fruit, with flashes of flesh, saline minerality - all the hallmarks of a volcanic wine. This bottle felt a bit more knitted together - punchier, but also more expansive through to the finish. Seriously good.

August 11, 2019 - Man this wine is good. Such a complex mix of fruity, savory and mineral. Evolving. Wonderful acid. Worth every penny of the $35 it costs. Would love to follow some over time, but I’m not sure I can wait. (1000th CT review!)

June 10, 2019 - Appealling nose. Nice viscosity snd mouth feel. Good mineral/saline profile over a relatively neutral core when cool. Melon becomes more dominant as it warms. Very pleasant and good with food.
