March 6, 2019 - this bottle is to wine what fried chicken is to comfort food. very easy drinking in a good way, and very enjoyable. nice and complex nose, seamless structure, velvety and long. did not find the wow factor though.

November 30, 2018 - The 1998 iteration of Guado al Tasso is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Syrah. Allowed four hours in decanter, this pristinely-cellared bottle reveals a deep garnet elixer that is packed with black fruit, dried herbs, pipe tobacco, dark chocolate and leather. Medium-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (13%), softly tannic and with nicely woven oak, it maintains good tension throughout a dense mid-palate and lengthy finish. Now fully mature, this is an absolute delight to drink. While I doubt that it will get any better, there is certainly enough residual fruit to ensure several more years on plateau. Drink now-2023.

November 18, 2018 - Gorgeous Bordeaux-like bottle. Still ripe fruit but with some undergrowth and damp cellar tones under the ripeness.

September 4, 2018 - Delicious. Long finish and smooth tannins. with a wild, rustic side. Fruit is still lively. Tasted again after 48 hours with a vacuvin and still delicious.

    May 8, 2018 - High-quality Italian wines tasting (Yagil's home): P&P
    clear, dark red-purple-black-brown
clean, profound tertiary dark fruits aroma, oak-vanilla, leather, tobacco, spices
dry, fine high tannins, high acidity, full body, excellent structure & complexity, an excellent 'Bordeaux' style wine, long finish
