December 17, 2023 - Comprehensive Tenuta delle Terre Nere (Chicago, IL): A bit of strawberry on the nose here, but also with a little bit of oxidation that seemed to detract (I have to think that the oxidation was likely bottle variation more than anything else), given how fresh all the other 2017 wines showed. Again this has a bit of a grenache bent with its red fruit and strawberries.

November 22, 2023 - A beautiful wine. Volcanic nose, nice depth of fruit on the palate. Tannins are pretty firm still, but not too drying. Hold for a few more years.

February 10, 2023 - Decanted 1 hour, drinking nicely now. Lovely nose, a bit of violet with the dark fruit. Tannins integrated, medium body, though still some nice fruit.
