Community Tasting Notes 8

September 10, 2022 - Clear, direct aromas of pear and white peach, some secondary notes emerging. The palate has a a richness and depth to it, but not the round generosity one sometimes finds in Meursault. The acidity is what really makes the character of the wine though; it's bright and leaves a mouth-puckering grip on the long finish. This is delightful if not especially complex at the moment, in a transparent and fresh style. Should continue to unfold for some years, I expect. BH thought 2025+, and that seems like a good time to check back in to me.

June 27, 2021 - Blind horizontal tasting of 14 Meursault village 2017 and 1 Chassagne village 2017 as a joker: Blind. My least favorite of the flight. Short aftertaste. Kind of plain.

92 pts

April 1, 2021 - Nose of lemon, brine, oyster shell. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel, lemon and grapefruit flavors in the mid-palate with a long, ripe, sweet, mineral finish. Really good stuff.
