September 12, 2020 - PnP. Already quite developed for a six year old Riserva, on the nose plum and cherry with a hint of mocha, on the palate medium+ bodied, good freshness, present but smooth tannin, medium+ finish, did not further improve in the glass. Rather rustic than elegant, good for the price level but a bit basic for a Riserva and not a must buy. Drink now or within the next 4 years.

July 24, 2020 - Still an excellent wine. More tertiary aromas now. Beewax and pinetree needles. A core of red fruit that is mostly cherries. Still fresh. The tannins are still there but they are almost powdery, now. A very elegant wine. It is almost burgundyesque. I would drink up in the next 2 years.

April 14, 2019 - I am convinced, again. See my first TN. When you swirl the wine you see that carmine/orangy hue of an aging wine. Still a nice freshness. It is at the peak of its evolution and I would drink up in the next 2 years.

February 28, 2019 - This time I'm a bit less convinced. A very good wine nevertheless. But you know what they say: There is no great wine but only great bottles.

November 27, 2018 - Color: Transparent ruby. A narrow band of orange at the rim. Nose: Coca Cola, red berries, cherries. Mouth: Medium bodied. Tight and fresh. Lovely cherry flavor. A bit of pomegranate, too. Excellent length. It is getting better while breathing. There is a really nice fresh and sour fruitiness. A hint of malt in the finish. Don't drink this wine too cold. 19°C would be perfect. It tastes healthy, too. Perhaps I am saying this because one bottle is emptied so fast. They really know what they are doing at Carpineto. Now at Denner for only CHF 8.15. Price of course is ridic.
