July 2, 2021 - Underwhelming at the moment. Give this one another 2-3yrs.
May 21, 2021 - Compared with the 2009.
Nose is very fruity mainly of red cherries.. Some smoke.
Palate follows the nose. Could develop well in a few years. Very concentrated flavour. Tastes completely different from the 2009 though.
April 22, 2021 - herbal, plummy, oak; modern palate, ripeish fruits, lingering finish;
March 27, 2021 - Dark purple in color. Notes of black currant, licorice, and tar. Nice wine will definitely get better with time. 89 now but I am sure score will go up with time
March 26, 2021 - The wine was dark purple in color and lighter at the rim, it had no sediment and the viscosity was medium, Alcohol was 14.5 % . The wine was in good condition, on the nose there were aromas of dark cherry, vanilla , anise and wet straw.
The wine was medium bodied with nice balance of acid, tannins and alcohol. It has a silky texture. On the palate I tasted dark cherry, blackberry, chocolate, vanilla, wet dirt and there was a herbaceous taste. I paired this with a prime rib roast and roasted vegetables. While I enjoyed this wine I think it will improve over the next 3-5 years.
finesse on repassera.
Long et asséchant.
