October 27, 2023 - Blackberry, blueberry and plum, as well as some mint, vanilla and violet. Some leather and forest floor to finish. Slightly drying dusty but smooth tannins. Nice round mouthfeel and good long almost fresh cherry like finish

October 27, 2023 - Typical Cabernet. Dark blue fruits, a hint of Blueberry and vanilla. An earthy aroma. Some lingon-berry at the end of the bottle Lacking some depth though. Woody tannins with cedar and rich oak simmering through. Propably a good wine for game and fatty sauce - but not as good with saltimbocca with red wine-sauce (as we had). Not a great wine, but good-enough. We decanted it just about 2 hours before tasting.

September 25, 2021 - Very dry and has a tartness thatncomes out very quick. Fresh red druit with thebtouch of oak, some minerality. A bit flat, not very complex. The wine is not well integrated.

January 21, 2021 - I agree with notes from others, but rate a bit lower. Admittedly I have limited experience with wines from S.A. It shows lots of red fruit and is extremely dry, but doesn’t have much in the way of depth or complexity.

Hooked on nitrogen overnight, very little difference the next day.

October 25, 2019 - Delightfully old-school traditional with a very balanced display of dark red fruits and minerality. Had a lot of South African wines over the years and this style more than any other speaks to the best.

June 8, 2019 - South African Reds (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): N: CLOSED, but RIPE berries?

P: Med body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which stays in touch with the initi frt as it fairly seamlessly transitions into a LONG, balanced finish with a delectable swtness to the dusty tannins. NEEDS through '21, then potentially an elegant wine to POSS approach its 10th. My EXC; 92 pts Vinous (Martin). [This vendor's $25.95 is $1 < anyone else on wine-searcher.]
