May 9, 2023 - Ruby in color with medium intensity.

    Sweet nose with red candy.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with mild complexity.

Showing red currants, bing cherries, raspberries, herbs, coffee, Mediterranean spices, peppercorn, green pepper and licorice.

Short finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.

This 11 year old South African red blend is nice, but too thin for me. A little unbalanced, and better with food.

Needs an hour to open up properly.

Smells like a Pinot Noir from California, but earthier on the palate, and feels more like an old world red. Very interesting.

A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Shiraz, 11% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot.

    14% alcohol by volume.

    88 points.

October 27, 2020 - Tastes like roasted bell pepper. Would be an interesting food pairing w a stuffed bell pepper.

May 21, 2020 - On reflection compared to some other wines this is better than I first thought and well worth it at this price point

April 28, 2020 - Maturing well - smooth Bordeaux blend (with some Syrah that adds to the complexity). Probably will be at best in a couple of years.
