  February 21, 2024 - dark ruby in colour, translucent. charming nose of smoke and wet stone, along with florals, bright red berries, soy. palate is tart, with bright acidity, earth, iron and cranberry. a great mid week vino that paired nicely with pasta and mild italian meatballs.

  December 1, 2023 - Had the wine in several Grassl glasses and to me the wine seems to be drinking okay. But i lacks complexity and dont have nuances.....so i get some burnt sugar notes on the nose. On the palate not a lot going on , so maybe my bottle is flawed !

  October 16, 2021 - Quite impressed by this. I like Sicilian reds and this is quite typical of the terroir fully expressing the the volcanic nature of the soil. Went very well with the Wagyu with right good balance of acidity. Will definitely seek out more and told the older vintages even better.

  September 16, 2020 - Earth, mushroom, volcanic, bright red cherry on the nose - black cherry, huge but fine grain tannins and acidity on the palate, Full body but ‘light’ feeling in the mouth. Well made, great wine, not the best QPR but seems that most good Etna these days are pricey.
