November 12, 2023 - Purple. No detailed note. This is just the same as three years ago. Maybe it has shed some of its tannin, but it was smooth even years ago. Of course no decant is necessary nor a benefit. 5/12/17/7. Though it seems to withstand the time, one point less than previous note, because I don't believe in a longer drinking window as previous predicted. -2028

May 18, 2023 - Deep purple color. Gorgeous nose of blackberries, black pepper, black cherries, nutmeg, and a violet floral note. Plush and silky texture. Huge mid palate, with loads of black fruit, and spicy black pepper and a cinnamon nite on the finish. Excellent balance, and very nice blend. The syrah is very prominent here, in a good way. Very nice!
