August 25, 2021 - I could have gone to 99, it was right in this range. Next to a perfect 1990 and a great 1993, this was my runner up in the flight. Crackling with energy, as I've said before I love the path this is on, and I could see it possibly gaining a point in score as it ages and adds those wonderful Dujac secondary/tertiary notes. Certainly a relative price bargain, though obviously at this price nothing is a bargain

July 16, 2021 - Tasted Blind. Gorgeous nose with that crunchy/sappy red fruit profile with a hint of floral undertones. There’s an airiness to it in the mouth despite the wine’s depth and power. This was showing quite youthfully with the density and structure, but still had a polished texture to it. An outstanding bottle of wine. 94+

July 16, 2021 - Excellent. Probably the wine of the lunch. Unfortunately I lost my notes. Not over the top whole clustered and stemmy, actually quite refined and subtle. Dense and powerful. Young. 94 - 95.

June 12, 2021 - Floral nose and on red fruits at the same time.

Deliciously silky on the palate. Wine has crazy energy. It's crystalline but with an obvious presence at the same time, on the dried flower and the spice in particular. This presence lines the mouth but not in a glycerine way as is often the case, here we have a magnificent, pure substance, with a goldsmith's balance. The flower mixes with a beautiful salinity, to explode in a majestic finish, worthy of its rank, in peacock tail, over a magnificent length, diaphanous and saline at the same time.

Great pinot noir, what a pity that the prices have become so expensive. The bottle having not moved from my cellar for 15 years, the wine was still compact with prominent tannins at the beginning, which 7 hours of aeration ended up polishing, which makes me say that this wine still has life ahead of it. .

October 26, 2020 - had this recently and it was stunning, even better than i remember from a few years ago. Nose and palate are expansive, detailed, and complex, with typical Dujac signatures. Both energetic and feeling like there's more in reserve... it reminded me of a younger version of the 90, and I hope that's the path it's on. 97-98

September 18, 2020 - Badly corked! Such a shame. As a side note 2nd badly corked Dujac within 2 weeks (the other being Beaumont 2010).

July 16, 2020 - Deep well of red fruit here. Good definition and tang. Densely packed spice bouquet. Great bottle.

January 25, 2020 - 4th of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, as previously noted, barely ready. VF (18.5)……...as if to reinforce point, a quarter bottle decanted into a vacuvined half bottle and drunk the following night alongside the Arlaud Roche 02 showed greater depth, nuance and balance than the previous night and with more to it and greater transparency than the Arlaud wine....potential upside in both!

December 21, 2019 - Dujac's 2002 Clos de la Roche is a Burgundy that demands contemplation as one easily gets lost in its gorgeous nose that shows red berry, sous bois, and stemmy spice. I love the texture here, soft, balanced, and effortless in its delivery of broad red-fruited flavors from a weightless frame. Simply a stunning wine.
