June 5, 2021 - Very berry, minty, and spicy.
    Medium body.
Less buttery and oaky than Columbia Crest wines.
    But lacks characteristics.

March 1, 2021 - An interesting mix of boyensberry, smoke, graphite & cured meats on the nose.  However, the pallate feels a bit disjointed with a sharp acidity which overwhelms any nuanced flavors. You do still get dark fruits boyensberry & blackberry coming through. A bit disappointed in the wine but the steaks and a romensco sauce we paired it with were delicious!  ($16)  [3/1/21]

October 12, 2020 - Second try (10/12/20) just after trying the 2016. Seems my first note was right. It's just a bit too sharp. Even more so on day 2. Barely ok with food. Sad given how good the 2016 was.

September 30, 2020 - Delicious red blend. A bit on the lighter side, may need to let it age to develop more.

September 22, 2020 - Clear, deep, purple color
Clean, developing, medium + aroma intensity with aromas of violets, strawberry, red cherry, red and black plum, bramble, vanilla, toast, chocolate, balsamic, black pepper, cloves.

Dry, medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, medium + body, medium finish, medium + flavor intensity with flavors of strawberry, red cherry, vanilla, toast, and chocolate.

    Good quality wine.

Drink now, and has potential for further aging..

September 20, 2020 - Sourced primarily from vineyards in Horse Heaven Hills, Intrinsic's 2017 red wine is a blend of 51% Malbec and 49% Cabernet Franc. Last tasted a little over a year ago, it is now deep ruby in color and continues to deliver aromas and flavors of cassis, huckleberry, dark chocolate, lavender, bramble leaf and mint. Full-bodied, fresh, lightly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (14.5%), its tannins are better integrated than when last tasted. Solid on the middle palate and medium in length on the back end, this well-priced red is fleshing out as anticipated. Drink now-2025.

August 31, 2020 - Full bodies with layers of fruit. A bit acidy but another year should mellow the bite.
