February 16, 2017 - From Art's cellar. A "gamble wine" for me as I was dining alone. Still alive, but just so. Amber bowl all the way to the rim. Nose had a benzene quality at the start but it blew off after decant. A little fine sediment was present. Muted cherry fruit, forest floor and cedar on the nose. In the mouth, wine was going, some astringency was noticeable and the fruit has started to disappear. Tannins were long gone. However, it was not completely unenjoyable (after all it is a non-reserve cabernet that was 33 years old) and still had moderate balance but for the slightly alcoholic finish. If you are going to drink yours, do so!

December 30, 2012 - Red fruit is still present. Slight oxidation smell at first, but it blows off quickly. Medium body. Very interesting.

March 16, 2012 - Quite orange and getting thin. Not vinegar, but way past its prime. I enjoyed a few sips, but then lost interest.

February 23, 2012 - Definitely past its prime but still in good shape. Very faded flavors of dark fruit and spice. Brick orange in color. Was tasty and interesting.
