March 1, 2024 - Helles Granatrot. 96 vvPunkte

January 7, 2024 - Fantastic - light and mid weight. Fresh with wild fruit - strawberry’s cherry and a more savoury element on nose. Asian spice / hoi sin.
Very open and approachable - with time it seems to put on weight and loses some of those elements on the nose.

December 30, 2023 - Very consistent to a bottle two years. Fully open for business, ethereal, Burgundian. Marvellous.

July 10, 2023 - Could not help but have another bottle. Amazing and more open than the 2016 right now.

June 28, 2023 - Wow. Not as much fresh ripe red fruit as the 2016, but still wonderful strawberry, mint, lemon and white pepper. I just love the balance and creamy texture. Super long finish with a firm grip. I am a huge fan.

October 15, 2022 - Strawberries (fresh and frozen) all over - a bit of vanille as well. Juicy red fruit and a light character. Long finish. Accessible now but I would hold for another 5-10 years. Great wine.

October 14, 2022 - Almost aromatic w. fresh strawberries, preserved red berries and warm spices like vanilla and cinnamon. Balanced tannins and relatively accessible now. The palate is a bit reserved compared with the bouquet. Fleshy red fruit and herbs. Strawberries all over the place. Long finish, but keep it for another decade to let it open on the palate. Remember to finish the glass fast, it goes full strawberry jam with too much air and heat.

June 18, 2022 - Burlotto Barolo Tasting + X (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): En par with the Tre Tine, for me the nose was a bit more fascinating and complex. Fine, silky tannin, great extract, fresh, deep, great clear fruit. Wonderful balance and elegance. Very long and complex. Great Barolo. 94-95

June 13, 2022 - A private dinner (Caffè Toscanini, Amsterdam, NL): Needs a little time to open up, good body and weight but so elegant and fragrant, sweet strawberries and roses, papery tannins, grippy and fresh, a magical bottle.

May 1, 2022 - Drank over 2 nights. Night one was a gamble PnP into Burg glasses. Yes, this need a lot of air! On pouring, color was a deceptively translucent magenta tinged ruby. Later darkening in glass a bit. Some berries, underbrush & roses on the nose carry over to the palate. Tannins are a bit chewy on night one. On second night everything resolves with velvety caressing mouthfeel & everything else singing & harmonious. Best days still ahead but terrific now with either 3 or 4 hours or over 2 days or decant in the mix. Impressive & unique among Barolo for its flavors. 2 more for well down the road.
