August 15, 2008 - Serious petrol on the nose. Lemon and apple flavors with bright acidity and nice finish.

June 28, 2008 - Not quite what I had hoped for or remembered from last year. The nose had lemon/lime and some green apple aromas. The palate was consistent with the nose. Much tangier than I thought it was going to be. I don't know if this wine has changed that much in less than a year, or if it was because of the much better wines we consumed along with it tonight, but I felt that I probably would have enjoyed this bottle more if I had consumed it last year.

August 4, 2007 - Golden straw color. The nose had apple and honeyed pear aromas. The palate showed pear, citrus and some peach flavors. Thick and smooth mouthfeel with a medium length finish. This wine was very food friendly, and a lot of fun to drink. Good value.

June 3, 2007 - sat with Doug& Reme: lemon and green apple dominate althou there is still a tropical tang around, caraway, flowers and minerality are trully doing wonders here, sweaty with time, oily texture with honey tones, long tangy finish. this is developing well and if you have any left check back in a year or give it more than the hour and a half in the decanter that it got here :)

June 2, 2007 - Saturday with the Count, Countess and Count Jr.: Light lemon color. Nicely delineated, complex nose of lemon peel, granny smith apple, caraway seed and minerality, with a touch of herbal or grassy notes. Nicely oily on the palate with good balance and a clean finish.

(Selbach-Oster Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett) Nice nose .. some apples, slate. Great concentration and ripeness. Acids a tad low but pleasant nonetheless.
