April 22, 2024 - Voluptuous and beautiful with lovely iodine notes.

February 27, 2024 - Ever so slight bricking, but that is debatable. Nose at first reminded me of a recent 2005 Croizet-Bages - earthy/forest floor. Black currant into cherry cola on the palate with subtle hints of muted lime and significant minerality. Medium to long finish with tannic structure that, at first, made me think this wine has time to kill in the bottle. However, second glass leads me to believe that may not be the case. Coravin-tasted over 2 1/2 hours. Plan to open another bottle soon and will decant to see how the wine properly develops over a 3-4 hour session.

January 31, 2021 - 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot, and 15% Petite Verdot. Bought at auction for not much so wasn't expecting much. But a pleasant surprise. Cork crumbled on open but the wine was just fine. A sweet perfumed nose. I found the sour cherry and cola notes I more often find in certain 100% cab wines. Given the blend, was surprised how much fruit there was. Pure and polished fruit with a long finish.

September 6, 2019 - This is red fruit oatmeal cookie greatness. Ready to roll. Nice color. No bricking. Hint of cherry cola on the middle with some mint. That red fruit and sweeter tannin. Softened. This one is right in the wheelhouse. Not going to get ANY BETTER in the bottle so if you are holding this one, pop it and enjoy it. I have a feeling that the 91.9 rating on CT includes a lot of people who rated this one an 88 about 10 years ago without allowing this one to come to full maturity. Compared to a Jericho Canyon, this one left it in the dust.

March 2, 2019 - I was surprised by the elegance of this wine. It still has some CA levels of extraction, but with a nice balance. It is holding up well (purchased at the winery and cellared since) and was quite enjoyable at this age, especially for a California Cab. Nice aromatics and a lingering finish.
