February 6, 2011 - The nose features cherry, raspberry and floral notes. The palate is light with alot red cherry, white cherry and a bright mid palate that unfortunately dies down before it's finished and left with a bitter cherry raspberry finish. Good cocktail though a little bit one dimensional.

August 31, 2009 - Pretty floral nose; flavors of overripe cherry, tobacco, cedar spice and herbs de Provence; slightly unpleasant bell pepper finish. Sweet tanins. Surprisingly good value at $9 a bottle. Tastes more Garnacha to me than Monastrell, but what do I know?

March 20, 2008 - well, having just pulled this out of the cellar I'm not that impressed at the moment. It's a little cool and needs some time to open up so will have to report back. Right now, not impressed. Nose of deep dark fruit with a bitter earthy taste and finish. Okay, got impatient, gave it 30 minutes and has already gotten better. Still in my opinion, not a great wine or value right now but will give this puppy some time and report back.

December 28, 2007 - Very drinkable Spanish QPR red. 100% monastrell I believe. Dark purple color. Candied fruit nose with a little "fake fruit" going on. Dark fruits, a little vanilla oak, and some dark jam on the palate. Definite fruit bomb. Slightly hot on the finish. A good week night quaffer. Would rebuy.
