January 9, 2021 - so much cut and thrust! Love the balance of this wine, oatmeal and honeysuckle but with zing and panache!

Flat, dull, and lacking the intensity and detail that it had on release. Colour and cork were good. Perhaps in a dumb phase. My last bottle, disappointing. Ok to good. 91

December 21, 2019 - At au$45, this has to be Australia’s most expensive Sauvignon blanc. It’s not that I don’t think Australia can make elegant, transparent Sauvignon Blanc. But this isn’t one of them. It’s all brash and oaky, very nutty with a strong vanilla bean thing going on. High acid, but the structure feels kind of unharmonious and disjointed. The palate is a bit tangy but ultimately feels a bit cold and sterile. I can taste the oak as well. Feels like good, expensive oak but it’s a bit much for me. Not much varietal going on. Deducted points for being overpriced.

Such a smashable wine, Mayer lemon, grapefruit, passionfruit, fennel, honey suckle and some chalk..

    great balance and length..

January 26, 2019 - Australia day 2019 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): slight struck match and smoky gun flint, a sweet fruit - a little passion fruit over grass and hay. Quite sharp acidity married to generously ripe, though slightly saline and savoury, fit, a little mid and front of mouth burr and finishes with an alcoholic warmth that creates the illusion of sweetness. It's all a bit disjointed for me.
