May 5, 2024 - A Ridge Zin...does any more need to be said? This wine has a garnet color with a medium body and medium finish; the aromas of prune and smoke arise out of the glass; the flavors of prune and raisin with a taste of black pepper combine well with the balanced acidity and tannins (a Ridge trademark) and the prefect amount of alcohol to complement everything. Drinking very well now with another 2 -3 years left in bottle.

October 1, 2023 - Ridge just keeps on giving with their Zins! This vineyard and vintage is no exception. The black cherry, plum, slight pepper and spice (some plum) give the wine adequate flavor. The mild and balanced tannins and acidity, with a moderate finish make for a pleasure to consume. I slightly disagree with the "group" on the drink window. I still see life in the bottle of 3 - 5 years.

April 12, 2023 - 2 yrs after last tasting has definitely made a difference. Notes of Cherry, raspberry, and both plum and prune.
February 1, 2023 - Coming back to this after 2.5 years. Opened for an hour. Color still deep garnet/purple but a hint of orange/brown on the rim. On the nose: Plum, blackberries, vanilla, spice and some heat. On the palate: Plum, dark chocolate, dusty tannins , baking spices and cassis. This continues to be good. It’s elegant and has lovely fruit. Ridge Vineyards, Zinfandel blends are really tasting good to me right now. I think I have 5 mixed cases in my cellar of varying ages and am working through a nice variety of them. It’s a cold icy day here and it’s hitting the spot. I think time to drink up.
November 4, 2022 - Really come into its own. a lovely chocolate quality on opening, and it evovles into a chalky, dried strawberry that makes the Mazzoni so great.

June 6, 2021 - Drank over two nights - well made wine with good spine. Fruit tannins and finish. Drink now, we had it with blackbean tacos on night 2. Good wine, good Ridge.
May 8, 2021 - 88 but a 90 with steak.
