February 28, 2024 - Opened and paired with Caribbean jerk chicken, pasta salad, roasted potatoes, and asparagus. Was super funky and musty on opening, but blew off within 20-min (did not decant). Translucent dark ruby color with a crimson hue. Spicy nose brings potpourri, cinnamon sticks, wood smoke, orange bitters, and strawberry pie. The palate is medium-light, round, and tangy, bringing a core of pomegranate, sour rhubarb, raspberries, and blackberries followed by black tea, orange peel, and lingering candied strawberry notes into a jagged, tannic finish. This is still awkward but extremely drinkable after some air (especially with food). A decant is recommended and I will do so with our next bottle. Drink 2025-2032. Technical score: 91: Enjoyment score: 91.

July 9, 2023 - @ 24 hours developed incredibly fragrant nose, very delicious.

December 25, 2022 - Had with Christmas lunch; it wasn't quite the perfect match, perhaps slightly closed down rather than bright and red-fruited (as for my first bottle in 2019). Attractive, gentle perfume, sleek and fine-boned, quite a bit of acidity - wine more in the redcurrant zone than strawberry, say.

November 28, 2022 - Very good, but not as profound or complex as I was hoping. There is a lack of fruit and body that I was hoping for, still a nice wine and one I would happily drink again. I think it's in a good drinking window but may hold my last bottle for a bit longer to see if this develops into anything more unique.

November 12, 2022 - found it flat and uninteresting. None of the "expected" burgundy silkiness.
