Color is a deep garnet, wine is fruity and dry, if not bone dry then the perception of sweetness is very strong. Acid is high, alcohol is medium high. Tannins are soft, medium low - integrated. Minerality and salinity low, long finish.
The aromas of the wine, black plum, black cherry, blue berry, oak, vanilla. On the palate, black currants, cherry, tart black berries, oak, and a hint of vanilla.
Subjective thoughts - the wine is a bit one dimensional but that's what makes this such a great drinker because it does such a great job at what it is. -

Charcuterie, many meats Completely enjoyable tonight with mediterranean pizza topped with arugula and red pepper flakes and dressed with truffle oil. -

January 26, 2023 - $21 at Kroger. Didn’t know what to expect, as Wagner wines can cross the line with slightly too much sweetness—really just off-dry. But this was perfectly balanced and delicious. No need for breathing. Maybe not a classic cab profile, but everyone at dinner enjoyed it and my wife wants another bottle. I’d be happy drinking this anytime.
