  March 23, 2024 - This is a fantastic Morey St. Denis from Hubert Lignier, even in its youth. After about 30 min open in bottle and a good swirl in the glass this opens up as an expressive bouquet of red strawberry, bing cherry, underbrush, mushroom, and minerals with some green stem. Silky smooth tannin. Light in its feet but vibrant. If it is this good now, what will it be like in 5-10 years?

  August 26, 2022 - Clear red. Interesting aromas of active limestone, blue fruits and plums. The mouth is utterly elegant, silky, very chambolle at first but the finish is definitely Morey, firm and long. This plot usually delivers generous fruit, open to go. It will gain weight and will be perfect in 5 years down the road.

  February 12, 2022 - Côte de Nuits Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Glass: Zwiesel Sensory Burgundy
  Wine opened and decanted 1-2h before the tasting. Tasted blind.
  Clear, medium-deep ruby, purple reflexes. Clean, dense, a bit rough nose, reductive. Fine red fruit, spicy, elegant, good balance, fresh, good length. Really nice. 91-92

  February 5, 2022 - Superb. Clean strawberry, a little forest floor, lightest of the Lignier I've tried. Easy drinking, lovely to linger.
