  September 25, 2021 - Hoo-boy this was in the zone!
  Tannin and acidity resolved into a silky texture, fruit and earth and je ne sais quoi on the nose and palate. Just lovely.

  September 27, 2020 - Ripping gorgeous nose that opened with fresh cut flowers, dark cherry, nutmeg. Palate dark and medium- bodied with fine balance and a long tart finish. Over time showed a bit more smoky but balance went very well with a slightly spicy ragu. Nose of Chambolle but palate had a little more intensity. Starting to fade after 4 hours, but the bottle was empty by then. A fine showing for 2001, very classic and delicious.

From a hedonistic view (though that word is loaded post Parker) this in absolute joy. However, it's just a touch simple and you do wish for just a touch more balance. However, this wine disappears from the glass. Ran neck and neck with the Laurent for my wine of the night, though I thought this was a Vosne made in a slightly riper style, like an M-G. As always, Mungier Fuees is great.

  May 31, 2020 - Brewed cherry, blackberry, intense smoky spice, grilled meat, cedar wood, forest floor, geranium, rose, violet, clover, vanilla, dried hay. Superb layers and precision, so Chambolle yet so elegant, so Mugnier but with power. Deep expanding palate, pronounced acid and long spicy finish. 01 is in a good spot now. 94-95

  December 25, 2019 - A memorable combination, Diana’s no cream at all, essentially nothing but mushrooms mushroom soup and a perfect bottle of ‘01 JF Mugnier C-M Les Fuees. The soup, as always, was remarkable. The wine — crazy good. Rose petals, red berries, the cleanest of forest floors, some smoke, and, yes, a hint of not from the soup mushrooms, and as smooth as silk. A beautiful wine.
