Community Tasting Notes 5

  • Mtpisgah Does not like this wine:

March 13, 2022 - PnP. First night it was funky on the nose and ok on the palate. A bit of tannins but not much. The second night it was flat and flabby. About the same as the bottle a year ago.

February 20, 2021 - PnP. Prett good the first night. Austere, a little lean, what I expected. The second night it turned a bit flabby and one dimensional. I think it will o,prove over a few years, but not a lot.

August 14, 2020 - Extremely tight, firm, unforgiving. The fruit is here, young and bright, but as of now, this seems like a Cornas without the concentration, leaning towards vin nature. Much better and more open on day 2, more juice, mpore fun.

January 11, 2020 - Very smooth CDR. Sweet with lots of red berries, cinnamon and a hint of leather.

November 6, 2019 - Two hour slow ox. Deep pinkish ruby color. Rhubarb and maraschino cherry on the nose. Smooth, tart, tongue drying palate. Full tannins on the medium+ finish. Decent, but too simple and too tart.
