September 15, 2023 - Just like prior bottles. Nothing new to add.
June 8, 2023 - Beautiful combination of freshness and ripeness, with bright, floral notes of green apples, lemons, stone fruit, and a kiss of botrytis. Excellent structure, so tensile, with layers of flavors and textures that kept changing and evolving over the course of the night. A dusting of spices infused the taut, nectar-infused finish.
December 14, 2022 - Go, Grgich! Still shining through the hills, up to the sky.
December 10, 2022 - Right on top of earlier bottles. As I said in a previous tasting note, I have never been disappointed in a bottle of this one.
December 6, 2022 - Very similar, fights certain foods due to the strong fruit flavors and toasty oak, enjoyed it more with small bites or alone.
May 21, 2022 - Decanted one hour. Tasted alongside a 2018 Ch Montelena Chardonnay. Was quite different (higher acidity, less ripeness) and no one's favourite of the two, although might have been different with food e.g. pasta with pesto sauce. With Rob (for his birthday), Barb, Karim, Maria.
April 12, 2022 - Appearance: Medium lemon
Nose: Medium (+) primary aromas of citrus (lemon/orange) and tropical fruits (pineapple) with secondary buttered popcorn, charred wood, and toasted bread notes. Took some time to express itself.
Palate: Dry with medium (-) acidity and alcohol, primary flavours of lemon, mango, and char-grilled pineapple – bromelain notes. Full bodied malolactic creamy butter textures, with pronounced intensity due to the toasty/smokey wood accents and a medium finish.
Conclusion: The wine is a classic well-balanced and fairly complex California Chardonnay, with moderate length and heady aromatics combined with ample flavour intensity, so would consider it very good, 90 - 92+

December 3, 2021 - Very good. Crowd pleaser at a restaurant. I cannot explain why I seem to be having a little better experience with this wine than is the case with other cellartracker.com reviewers.
