September 17, 2022 - I ear I did this wine no favors when I made it the follow a 2014 Tensley "Noir" and a 2014 Alta Colina "Old 900." The Mancini Ranch was good, but it just did not have the impact of the two syrahs. We found the Mancini to be very easy to drink, but it did not stop us in our tracks and make us say, "Oh my!" It offered bright flavors and some spiciness. Again, very good, but paled in comparison to the two syrahs. My bad!

January 26, 2022 - Rich, delicious full-bodied mixed berry fruit with floral flavors, excellent structure, forward drinking, very alive, ample finish

January 16, 2022 - Did not rock my docks like others. Enjoyable but still better stuff from Carlisle maybe kite age? Drank over three hours. Has structure and fruit just not in harmony. Putting other bottles away longer

August 19, 2021 - Summer of 2021 Cornucopia of Wines (Dogwood Grove, Garezers, HHI): Not every Carlisle hits, although most do. This showed crushed berries, spice and had a floral nose, but it also had a dusty element that gave it an overly dry finish which I didn’t like. Also, the finish just wasn't that long, especially compared to some other bottles on the table. But my guests seemed to like it a lot so maybe I was just in a tough rating phase.
