April 13, 2024 - I like it.
November 3, 2023 - Beautiful! Dried apricot and plums. Herbaceous nose. Wonderful balance of fruit and acidity..
September 17, 2022 - Typical Epoch - rich, fruitful, smooth.
May 22, 2022 - Better balanced since the last bottle 8 months back. Bright acidity backs up dark cherry fruit. The tannins are present but well integrated. A fairly big and ripe wine at 15.5% abv, but very well balanced. Probably the one to drink before the vineyard designate syrahs.
January 28, 2022 - Not so good
October 19, 2021 - Great Rhone red. Dark fruited, rich, smooth. Drinking really well right now.
September 5, 2021 - Dark and tasty. Unusual central coast "Rhone" blend with a hefty dollop of petite sirah. The PS component comes through with hints of blueberry compote and some dusty tannins. Nicely balanced with a medium body and lower acidity. Better in another year.
July 11, 2021 - really smooth and fruity blend without being overly jammy. relatively new wine and I think I like drinking these newer than waiting 3 or 4 years even though the wine can last
April 17, 2021 - What a really nice Rhone style blend. The 2017 vintage is the first with Petite Sirah as the leading grape followed by Mourvedre, Syrah and Granache.
Pretty dang dark in color with layered flavors of blueberry and peppery oak imparted spices. There is ample tannin and acids to keep this running for several years and it will still need an hour in the decanter IMO.
This is young but tasty already. Enjoyed alone but then pair with a NY Strip and you guessed it, it was really good!
March 26, 2021 - Way too young even with a few hour decant. will improve with time
