February 10, 2024 - I love Turley, and Duarte is among my favorite Turley vineyards. Imagine my surprise to find this bottle still available in my cellar! I was truly psyched! Despite moments of greatness, it was, ultimately, disappointing. This bottle was stored well - it was found buried at the bottom of my wine fridge! I think it was on a downward slope and it's best days were behind it. Drink up!

December 17, 2023 - Purple in color. 15.3% ABV. Heady nose of red and black fruits, licorice and pepper. Full bodied with ample acidity. Well balanced. Copious rich, lush fruits. Black cherry, raspberry liqueur, mulberry and pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Really big Zinfandel that is drinking firing on all cylinders. Pick your spot but best over the next 1-2 years

August 14, 2023 - Raspberry and more raspberry, with a bit of plum. White pepper, olive, and a cascade of spices, but the fruit dominates. An initial schnickel tartness.

June 5, 2023 - Nose of fruitcake, dates, and baking spices. Blackberry and blueberry fruit with light acidity, adding sour black cherry notes, and touches of licorice and spearmint. Plush finish of black raspberry pie, soft finishing acidity, and a tang of spicy red fruits and vanilla. Seems like we've had a run of raisiny Turleys lately and this one thankfully was not!

February 17, 2023 - PnP. Nose of red raspberry, roses in peak bloom and oak. Zesty black raspberry with a bit of blue fruit mixed in followed by a zippy line of acidity carrying pomegranate and red fruit. Palate really lingers into the finish, which adds supple tannins while the acidity and fruit rides through to a finale of wet potter's clay and oak. Singing tonight.

Vanilla rounds out this rich, warm tart zin.
    Very good indeed.
