July 9, 2023 - Fantastic wine. Lots of fruit.
February 21, 2023 - Nose of cherry, cranberry, and earth. Bright red raspberry palate with orange zest, blood orange, and a touch of baking spices. Big oak finish with surprisingly soft tannins and lots of crisp acidity rolling over the long-lingering oak. Will hold a few years but I don’t think it will develop further.
December 31, 2022 - A definite change of pace after some Pinot Noir. Not that 'big', with pure clean fruit, but the low-acidity cherryish jamminess wasn't really what I wanted at the time, and this pure Zin seemed to lack the structure and complexity I love from the Ridge blends. Perhaps it just needs time and/or a steak.
November 25, 2022 - A little more jammy than I would prefer, others really liked however
November 13, 2021 - Smooth, very easy drinking. Lacks depth
August 1, 2021 - One hour decant. Sweet cherries dominant the nose and tongue (and that is never a bad thing). In balance and drinking very well at this time and should continue to do so for the next 4-5 years.
April 5, 2021 - Really soft, Spicy and fruity, i was expecting more from this one but it was really good, just different from other Turley
November 12, 2020 - Raspberry, bell pepper, with notes of spice and tobacco on the finish. Needs time. Hold to late 2021/22. Was expecting better as I usually really like the Estate offerings
May 17, 2020 - It was very soft and fruit forward. Enjoyed it with a meat lasagna. Very pleased.
April 29, 2020 - Six months in the cellar later and I’m still not a fan. This is really minerally, which overpowers the fruit - just not my style and very different from other Turley Zins which I love.
