August 4, 2022 - Herbaceous nose, with a slight porcini. Thick and concentrated, but in a good way. Black and white pepper, raspberry jam. Lingers for a while. I'll pop the next one in a year. Enjoy.

March 4, 2022 - Notes of raisin and dried fruit with a robust body and polished texture. Very nice to drink now.

February 13, 2022 - I struggle with this due to personal preference...when opened and just poured - wow just a field of strawberries and I was so excited to jump in.

Let it sit in bottle while we had some others and it did a 180. Next pour - zero strawberries and was getting notes of smoked ham, other dried meats. On the palate on that point reminded me of a more dull Gap's Crown. Note that's not my preferred style of Pinot, though some may disagree.

Decided to wait another hour or so before another pour. Now the roasted meat disappeared a little bit, but never got to the field of strawberries from that first pour. Kind of migrated to your prototypical well-executed Sonoma pinot. Will never be mistaken for a burgundy and that's okay. If Sonoma is your jam, this is pretty good at that

January 28, 2022 - Arista wines are new to me ..and I am loving them.
This wine expresses what Russian River valley Pinot is about. The nose that greets you is full and pleasing giving reason to slow play it until the sip. Aside from the red and blue fruit I think I get some cola notes. It’s smells great. This 2017 has some tannins but balanced out by minerality making your mouth water. The taste is pure pinot noir from this region. The finish is medium -long on the tongue and the higher alcohol leads to a revisit back through the nose …does that even make sense?

While not paired with food today, I view this is truly versatile I’m thinking pork chops next time here.

This maybe my #1 pinot right now. I only wish I had more to age it for a couple years…
