  March 20, 2021 - A gem from the Chappellet family and I can’t rave enough as to how many great wines they make. This merlot starts with aromas of leather, oak, anise and eucalyptus. It’s has velvety tannins and mild acidity, hints of blackberry and boysenberry round out the profile. It’s silky smooth and a terrific merlot that can last for a decade. I would certainly drink not sooner than later. 3/2021

  July 11, 2020 - Decanted for 30 minutes. It continued to open for another 20-30 minutes. Fairly big merlot, with lots of fruit and moderate plus tannins. Smooth and well-balanced.
