March 9, 2013 - Very disappointed. Wine was very cloudy with lots of sediment. Had a very medicine like smell right off the bat. Picked up slight smell of vapo-rub. Tried again after an hour with no changes.

September 27, 2012 - This used to be one of my favorite wines in its youth. Total hedonism in the bottle. However, now 10 years old, it was just funky tonight. Showed a glimpse occassionally of the beautiful fruit that made it so sexy years ago, but after that, it was just in a total awkward stage. I hope at some point it comes out of it and turns into a nice aged wine, but right now, it is not good.

March 16, 2008 - Popped and poured. One dimensional and a little sweet for me. Picked up a little band aid in glass (brett?). Try again manana.

February 12, 2008 - A wonderful wine; throwing quite a bit of sediment now. Dark, dark purple color. Great juice in which you can taste all 3 grape varieties. Different, but just as good, on the second night. This wine gives a lot back to the drinker.

October 25, 2006 - Blind Night (Enotria, Scottsdale): Very dark purple. Strong VA on the nose. Over ripe fruit with a fortified or port like character with extremely high alcohol on the finish. Tastes of dusty dried black fruit. I haven't been overly impressed with the wines of Villa Creek of late.
