March 27, 2024 - Beautiful earthy Pinot with dark red fruits and spice. Great now.
February 29, 2024 - PnP that opened nicely at about 45 minutes into it. Good varietal typicity of aromas and flavors, medium-bodied with avg+ complexity. My only nit was I was looking for a touch more acidity to brighten this up a bit. Glad to have tried. Now and the next several years. recommended
November 9, 2023 - Earthy, character, medium body, lacked the fruit and perfumed bouquet, drank easily with rack of lamb, spinach pie and hummus, last bottle, next vintage, DDO wines are all over the place with their taste.
October 30, 2023 - From our cellar. Aging nicely. Medium bodied. Very fragrant. Smooth palate. Juicy raspberry, cherry, tangy orange, and baking spices. Well-knit tannins and a nice long finish. Excellent. Drink now -2027
September 26, 2023 - A little past its prime. Still a decent wine, but 6 yrs is a stretch. Great with salmon. A very nice fall wine
September 15, 2023 - complex, rich, needed ample time to open - better next day
September 4, 2023 - A little more tight than prior bottle in March, but still amazing and I do use that word sparingly. Deep, more complex than I can describe. If you have any, I’d hold until fall 24, but it has aging potential for a few years beyond 24. Great value Pinot, but not inexpensive. Worth it.
June 26, 2023 - Just keeps getting better…
Dark cherry, blackberry, thyme in nose
Same fruits in flavor. Warm, juicy, smooth, welcoming (as in “Have some more!”).
Really nice wine
March 26, 2023 - Just coming into drinking window now, but will need some breathing for best results. Medium-bodied, tannins present but not the main event, elegant, rasberry and cigar box. Should continue to improve in the next several years but likely not a candidate for long-term aging as would be their better wines.
March 18, 2023 - Has aged gracefully, nice balance, smooth tannins with good acid, fruit well integrated in this medium bodied wine, 14.1%abv, drank with seared ahi tuna with cous cous and tomato basil olive oil red wine vinegar dressing, have another bottle, one of the better DDO PN’s that have aged, earthy and nice sipping to the bottom of the bottle.
