December 26, 2023 - Needed a good decant - still has some time left in bottle

Very good wine that showed through in the end with bright red fruit and some light pepper notes due to Syrah in the blend. Very good wine with prime rib on Christmas

July 27, 2023 - Decanted for about 2-3 hours; was totally unnecessary

This wineikely only needed a splash of air - was very tertiary once we got to it. Could still get a hint of red fruit underneath it all. Will definitely try again with less time in decanter

May 21, 2022 - Dark garnet, opaque. Decanted for an hour - there was a lot of very fine sediment. At first this is Bretty-minty, then some rugged tannins, olives, and black plummy fruit. With lamb at dinner over the course of a couple of hours, this never really softened up - there's no honeyed/older Grenache note here, but exotic tobacco, balsamic flavors, bloody meat and black olives. It really needs big food right now plus decanting - it drinks more like Bandol than CdP.

November 5, 2021 - Excellent bottle. Plenty of life left here. No need to rush to drink these.

Decanted for 95 minutes. Served at 60 farenheit.

Blackberry, grilled herbs, fatty salami. Dark and interesting. Superlative food wine. Would complement lamb, goat or game fabulously.

August 28, 2021 - Decanted for two hours. This big serious, classically styled CDP shows whiffs of blackberry, black raspberry, smoke, smoked meats and herbs. It is still relatively youthful and a little ungiving and tannic. Nevertheless you can see that this is going to continue to develop and gain complexity.
