March 20, 2024 - Absolutely singing, has found a new gear, showing real depth and refinement on top of its rustic character.

October 5, 2023 - Last magnum of 6, decanted 45 minutes, perfect cork and level, sense of starting to round out and show more layering than hitherto, attractive if slightly rustic, still upside in this format, 10+ years. Just about F (17.5).

January 20, 2023 - Drinking well for what it is. Nice touch of slight sweetness (very slight). Fairly linear and not particularly complex. Generally resolved and balanced. For those with bottles in the cellar, I don't see this improving significantly with additional time. Differing with a recent reviewer, I don't feel this has the weight to be a great pairing with intensely grilled or seasoned meat.

October 3, 2022 - 5th magnum of 6, opened an hour, perfect cork and level, as Jan's magnum, tad rustic, some upside, no rush. Just F (17.5).

(Pavelot Jean-Marc et Hugues Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Dominode) Thirty percent new oak for the elevage of this wine. A bright, medium cherry-red colour. The nose seems a little tighter than the Aux Guettes, but still manages to show an extra depth and width. A little extra fat on this round and concentrated palate the fruit guards well the tannic structure- a real extra level of complexity on the finish. Lovely wine.
