  March 9, 2018 - X-pensive Winos does 2005 Burgundy: A bit petillant, bot oh dear, this hits the spot;, vibrant, very much on the pinot nerve, en danseuse. Love it. A bit dark, roasted at the end, but still … on Day 2, this is still a cut above the Lavoux St. Jacques, more vibrant, mineral, intense, lively – a wine with identity. Great. 94+ points

  December 17, 2017 - Really late lunch – blind esoteric and not so esoteric wines at Q by Peter Chang (Q by Peter Chang - Bethesda, Maryland): Very ripe yet pure red and black fruit, raspberry, blackberry jelly, black cherry, dark spices, tree bark and earth. Initially most think Rhone, Paul mentions top end Cote Rotie or Hermitage. Excellent concentration, pure and powerful, true to the style of the domaine. I find Mortet style similar to Leroy but not as opulent and a bit more masculine. Still needs another decade to reach the peak.

  October 13, 2017 - Noble, introverted, and like a mystery. The wine is like no other and you can see the depth of this winemaking. Keep changing in the glass. Salut!
