March 22, 2020 - Have had several bottles of this wine across the past 9 years. The wine has continued to develop and evolve. This bottle has begun to lose some of its fruit, tannins have largely disappeared, plums and cassis on the initial flavors and mid-range, and a good finish. Altogether a nice, 15 year old, inexpensive cru bourgeois that is at or just passing its peak and should probably be drunk up. Still, an enjoyable wine.

October 2, 2016 - On first open, seemed a bit tight and overly tannic. So I decanted. When I came back to it 15-20 mins later, felt the nose was great (dank earth, very old world) but the palate had mellowed, maybe too much. Just a bit thin from a flavor perspective, though still tannic. Good not great.

April 18, 2014 - Served with grilled flat iron steak marinated in a chipotle sauce with corn, cilantro, and avocado accompaniment. Wine is holding up nicely and nearing or at its peak to drink. Cassis, wood, spices in the nose and mid-range, good length, mild tannins in the finish. A very good generic Bordeaux has been consistent across a number of vintages (2005, 2008, 2009, 2010). Should hold another 4-5 years and a very good, moderately priced weekday wine.

November 1, 2013 - Aged beautifully. Ready now. Cassis first and foremost, with great balance and complexity. Hint of balsamic and sour cherries. Pure pleasure.
