February 9, 2023 - So young. If you like your wines young then go for it. I prefer mind between secondary and tertiary aromas. Very goodvwines that I feel will be a hit with different parties of young and old. Acidic and tannic. As of now it is looking to be a very good wine and vintage as it ages.

January 6, 2023 - Decanted 3 hrs. Very aromatic and expressive on the nose, with the palate to back it up. Immensely enjoyable.

December 29, 2022 - medium red color showing first signs of age at the rim, reserved nose with leather and cherry plus a bit of oak spice, on the palate bright ripe cherry and a fine chalk note, a bit of warmth on the tail end, a bit rough and tumble for a Chambolle but there are many good elements here that have just not materialized yet, if everything harmonizes in time then this will turn out quite nicely I think, my first encouter with this producer.

December 1, 2020 - Pretty reduced initially, so decanted for a few hours. The reduction definitely receded on the nose, but still a bit left on the palate. The wine has a ton of dark fruit on the nose and palate, but the most striking thing about it is definitely the structure - this is a big and somewhat coarse wine. This isn't seamless tannin, but rather it's burly. To me, when some call Lignier's wines blocky (which they are not), this is what they mean; power and some juiciness but without the elegance. Not a bad wine, but not one that I particularly want to drink again - my other two bottles will go to deep sleep to see if they improve in 10 years. This is consistent with my Siguat experiences so far.
