September 5, 2020 - Confirmed this is the most enjoyable vintage of this KB Chardonnay I have enjoyed. Gorgeous yellow in color with glycerin tears. Great mouthfeel and weight. Gone are the overly acidic components of some prior vintages. This is full, round and inviting. Lemon chiffon flavor that is subtle and just one part of the overall experience. Excellent bottle and left me wanting more.

    August 27, 2020 - Anton’s Wine Tasting Notes Kosta Browne 116/2017
    Winery: Kosta Browne Varietal: Chardonnay
Area/Appellation: Russian River Valley Vintage: 2017. Price: $65
Color: Beautiful straw/pale golden yellow Legs: slow
Nose: smells of fresh Bartlett and Bosc pears, chamomile, white peach,
Palate: some salinity on the mid palate, more Bartlett and Bosc pears, subdued acidity,
Finish: a little minerality, some flint,

I'm having a hard time getting my head around this wine especially with the three differing reviews.
I find the palate straightforward, dull uninspiring, pensive, restrained. The finish is confusing, lacks bright acidity and raciness some inspiration of complexity. I’m sorry this doesn’t compare to it’s peers from-the same area, Rochioli, Hobbs, Hartford, DuMol, Sonoma-Cutrer, Jordan etc. Second bottle of three. Will wait til late 2021 on the last.
Pairing Suggestions: Halibut, Cod, Shellfish, lightly seasoned chicken and pork, light nutty pastries no rich sweets, mild buttery style cheeses.
Score in terms of Vintage: 89
    Score for the Wine: 88
    Value for the Money: good

June 7, 2020 - Delayed note; purchased for $80. Incredibly well-engineered complexity, with butter, yeast, citrus, and floral flavors all present and well-balanced with one another. A delightfully rich and well-rounded Chardonnay experience.

May 17, 2020 - This chard had a light, pale straw color with medium legs. The initial nose was very light and faint but I got some Jonah gold apples, yellow pears and citrus. On the palate pears, cantaloupe, lemon citrus. The finish was savory with citrus fruits dominating the finish. Still youn will try again later this summer. My first Kosta Browne 116 so I can’t compare it to other vintages
