Community Tasting Notes 3

June 13, 2020 - Darker and richer than the 2014. Blackberries with some earth and deep floral notes, dried violets. The palate is heavier with juicy blackberries, licorice, and light rockiness. Still tasty and light on its feet.

September 22, 2019 - 40-80 year old vines from southern Brouilly. Whole bunches, 15 days maceration and aged for 8 months on 10-15 year old oak. Slightly reductive at opening but almost everything goes away after 30 minutes in the decanter. Dark fruit like blackberry and plums, dates, lots of crunchy minerality, rocks, smoke. I could easily place this in Loire or even Northern Rhône. Drinks like a charm, very lightweight and ethereal with a sweet component to it. Not so sure that I like that actually. Reminds me of a blackberry candy that is common here in Sweden...
Good gripping acidity. Lots to like here and for a little more than €20 it's good value for sure. The only drawback is the sweet artificial note that pops up from time to time, possibly that's just me so...
