November 19, 2021 - Friday at the strand (Strand Cellars, Croydon): Pretty, jubey whole berry; blackberry and a little black cherry and currant in support, gets more peppery with time. Juicy, quite dense, again the fruit is pretty and jubey, tannins are quite silky, slight alcohol warmty is controlled on the finish. Nice.

April 27, 2021 - More vegetal than what I remember from the 2015. Not as much depth. Still a solid shiraz. Apparently these vines are very close to the Côte-Rôtie ones. Still, not the same soil. Good bang for the buck.

March 4, 2021 - A little more reticent than the previous bottles, suggesting that it is shutting down slightly (or just a slightly less good bottle?). More chiseled and less flamboyantly fruity than before, but still offering a lot of wine for the money. Tannin is relatively light and powdery, so not a keeper ... will revisit in 6 months.
