October 19, 2020 - Beautiful and enjoyable. Bright fresh red fruit balanced by spice and earth. Lighter body and lower alcohol than most California wines; drinks closer to a Pinot than a normal Mouvedre. Actually has a solid backbone of medium tannins, but they're integrated and don't stick out. Medium-plus acid - drinks fine without food, but even better with food. Will buy more. 4/5

October 12, 2020 - So much fun and joie de vivre in the glass. This has enough to hold your interest without being too serious OR too consciously natty, which I really appreciate. There is a lovely gamey, herbal wildness to it to go along with the crunchy red fruit that gives me the vibe of a Syrah/Gamay blend. Light and really nicely lifted, with white pepper on the finish to knit it all together.

September 7, 2020 - Russk. 89 + points. Light and juicy. Not nuts about the nose.

September 5, 2020 - Unapologetically whole cluster herbaceous, juicy carbonic candy fruited and all in all a joyful wine. Despite being unfiltered and minimally sulfured, this is squeaky clean and pure. Green stem funk, cranberry with undertones of black fruit, and perhaps has a bit more body and color than Shake Ridge. Crushable for sure.

Day 2: a touch more one dimensional. Seems like the perfect cellar defender while keeping your hands off the single vineyard Mourvèdres!

September 5, 2020 - No specific notes, but this was fresh, ultra-juicy, meaty/funky, and exceptionally food-friendly.
