Community Tasting Notes 8

March 21, 2023 - Purity salinity and yellow fruit melange. Slightest hint of custard. Refined

March 7, 2021 - Chilled and then quickly decanted. Fairly oaky nose with lumps of pineapple. Similar textures and flavours on the palate, with a bit more oak than I would have liked. Enjoyable match with Sunday night fish.

September 4, 2020 - A little flabby and ripe. Pears, green apple, lime zest but could use a little minerality or salinity.

May 23, 2020 - Pale gold color, cream, and lemon on the nose, tastes of cream, toasted almond, pear, honey, with subtle lemon but in a fruit forward structure. Medium plus acid with medium plus body. A very elegant and balanced Chardonnay.

February 29, 2020 - A hint of rubber on the nose, not unpleasant, but I wonder if it is brettanomyces. It somewhat masks the yellow fruit. The palate is rich and deep with a nice touch of oak on the back and a lingering finish. I’m not going to rate this because I’m not sure it isn't slightly flawed. I’ve been drinking it with great pleasure, but this is the first time I decided to write a tasting note. Let’s see what the next bottle brings.
