July 30, 2022 - Such a change since last summer when first one opened…it was very good then, but now much more complex…just so much going on here. Deep dense purple still, with a very fine sediment, which only came into play on Day 3 really. I didn’t decant.
On first evening, with a barbequed sirloin, the bouquet was just stunning, and difficult to tease out the elements of it. Blackcurrants, then raspberries plus some violets maybe and spice too. Beautiful texture on the palate, just a skein of tannin in the background and some acidity but not too much. It is balanced. Not a Rhone blockbuster, and for me a good bit more enjoyable than the St Joseph the week before.
Day two, the Syrah was the more evident, in a more classical way, and some cassis coming through too. Finished it tonight with a beetroot tarte tatin with feta cheese and it stood up well though some fine grained sediment in the glass. Still hanging in there with the fruit too and no real oxidation. I think this might get more complex still.

July 24, 2021 - Vibrant deep purple colour. Some restrained Syrah on the nose. Was wondering if it might still be closed up. No! A lovely mouthfeel, almost crisp, with red and black fruits, decent acidity (not seeing the lack of acidity commented on below), which will help this age a bit. Tannins not really noticeable.
Very refreshing and quaffable now though, very pure flavour all primary fruit right now but so enjoyable. 13.5% is on the low side for Southern RHone these days and that helps the balance of this wine, which was served just above cellar cool on a very warm evening, which worked really well.
Very impressed by this wine, which I think will age quite well, first of six.

June 2, 2021 - Nice raspberry and kirsch nose. Very warm snd open-knit. Nothing to complain about from a sunny southern French wine, but I’m not writing home about it either.

March 19, 2021 - A promising nose, with aromas of funky barnyard and smoke jumping out of the glass. Kind of a fake-out though, as the palate doesn't match. Very light, with faint notes of black currant and blackberry, and maybe a skosh of smoke. As noted, the tannins are fully resolved/non-existent, and the acidity is medium-low. Simple, and decent with a charcuterie board.

March 8, 2021 - Medium body. Purple color. Fruit on the nose and palate. Currents, blueberries and red licorice, tannins nearly gone, acidity very low. Enjoyable, yet this bottle lacked backbone - that said, wonderful QPR and current prices so would not hesitate for a weekday wine.
