Community Tasting Notes 2

June 7, 2009 - Very evolved appearance: pale red with orangeing towards the rim. Rather a fumey, chemical nose at first, but this blew off to reveal good strawberry and red cherry fruit and some nice liqourice and rosewater components, underpinned by a cedar wood flavours. Got better with exposure to air, but didn't quite hit the heights.

July 1, 2008 - "Fire sale, everything must go" tasting with friends (At home): Good Pinot aroma profile, lots of balls, and a lot of sweet caramel-toffeed oak. Goes down well in the mouth, but I and others left the oak was a bit heavy-handed. Still, a nice drop. New Zealand and Australia were the guesses.
