  July 17, 2021 - Was not impressed on day 1 as it seemed oxidized, musty. A deep gold color. But then, wow day 2 was much better and still had more to show on day 3 — muted cooked stone fruit, honey, nutty flavor with a saline backbone. An Italian trebbiano that wants to be a Cognac like its French cousins but got stuck at the wine stage. Great with cheese and would be a knockout with Gorgonzola.

  February 3, 2020 - From glass. Butterscotch color and nose, immediate announcement of the wine’s style. Heavy palate that gives a cognac treatment to more typical Italian table white salinity and acidity, with also some attractive smokeyness. Interesting glass of wine, pleasant drinking. Might be a nice summer after-dinner alternative to a port, etc.

  February 4, 2019 - Rich example of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, stone fruit, vanilla, honeysuckle, ripe pear. Supple in the mouth, not a fresh style, but I expected it and I bought it for that reason.
  
  The problem is in a disconcerting bitter finish which I suspect could be caused by the very high alcohol: I don't remember having ever seen a white wine at 14.5%! Maybe some Californian Chardonnay, but nothing from Europe for sure. Too bad, I had I hopes for this.
